Homestuck Act 5 ends with the cinematic climax “Cascade”, the most eventful page in the whole comic.

You may have read my synopsis of the End of Act 5. There is something approaching an official recap of Cascade by the author, but it is neither comprehensive nor canonical.

The End of 2010 recap, which covered the first half of Act 5 (everything up to Jade making Jadesprite), was the last recap to appear in Homestuck itself. The author, Andrew Hussie, swore off recaps after that. But that didn’t stop Andrew from writing a lot of commentary on her tumblr blog. After releasing Cascade in October 2011, she wrote a series of posts about the making and events of the flash. Three of the four posts, when read together, function as a pretty good recap of the moments that she felt wanted clarification.

Years later, Andrew deleted her entire tumblr archive. It’s all gone now. Fortunately, Archive.org’s Wayback Machine saved and mirrored those pages before they were destroyed.

In About EOA5, part 1, Andrew talked about her creative team’s process. The other three posts elaborated on the events of the cinematic and are now the closest thing to an official recap of Cascade:
